CAINS BALLROOM / CRONIES Aug 25th

I am pleased to announce that I will be appearing with full band when I open for Hanson on the 25th. My band lineup for this show includes Tulsa guys Monty Anderson, Mark Meeker, & Mac Ross. My dear friend Monty will be playing bass - it seems a while since the viper room on July 5th so I'm ready to rock again. Mark Meeker recorded drums on my record "dondonisi" I'll never forget the day I first heard Mark hit the drums - True Magic. Mac Ross is well known for his superb guitar skills, his brilliant vocal doesn't hurt any either. Mac has also recorded at Abbey Road, we love talking about the magic of that place! Some of you may know him from Universal signing Molly's Yes too.
It is gonna be a true joy to take to the stage with these boys, Unfortunately we will be playing a very short set, but I am pushing for as much stage time as possible. I will have shirts CDs pics and other good stuff for you at the show & We will be heading up to my friends bar Cronies 2606 s.sheridan suite C 74129 after the show for some cocktails, or my current drink "diet patron & tonic". Hope to see ya there, it's gonna be fun!

I will also be interviewed with Hanson ahead of stage time, this will be webstreamed, as soon as I have more details, I will let you know!

ps. I'm getting tons of requests for me to play in different cities, and countries too, It makes me so happy that this is the case, & believe me, I am doing all that I can to get to play for you sooner rather than later. Keep the dream alive...

The CAINS Ballroom Tulsa with HANSON August 25th

Thank you to all who voted for me in the Ourstage competition. WE WON...

I have subsequently been asked to open Hansons show at The Cains in August. At this time I do not have full details and therefore do not know if I will be appearing solo, or with my band. It is my intention that If I go with a FULL BAND show, we will also do an "after show SHOW".

"The Not On Tour TOUR"

I'm back home after many many miles of touring and I'm thinking about the day I decided that I would drive across the country with my guitar to play for my fans, and make some new ones along the way too.
It's frustrating to me that I have not "Hit", "Broke", "Made it" YET so on and so forth, but I know that there are people state wide, and now internationaly that want to hear my music, and become part of the story too.
Without a major label budget, without national radio, and without the traditional forms of business that keep all the well known artists that we know and love afloat, I knew that this was a huge endeavor. But, and it's a BIG BUT. I knew that I have great fans. I knew that if I did something for you lot, you would support it! AND YOU DID!

So I planned out a route including no less than 18 states and I successfully played shows from my home, over 6000 miles around the country, and then all the way back home again, I had a day off, and then upgraded to a jet plane for the California leg which led to the NTT's final crowning event at The Viper Room in Hollywood.
It was absolutely awesome to meet with my friends Monty Anderson, Andy Skib, & Eli Logothetis and ROCK THE JOINT at a full house on Sunset, something I dreamed of as a teenager. People flew in from all over the nation, and the California peeps supported awesomely! Friendly faces and a lot of new ones too.

This last couple of months you guys really came through for me, and more importantly YOU came through for MUSIC!

I am going to post a more fun blog which covers the NTT in more detail, it will be accompanied by some cool pictures and some funny stories from the road, but at this point I just really wanted to say THANK YOU! I can't wait to press on with the new ideas I have up my sleave.

THANK YOU to all the attendees of my shows, to my support team: my good lady, all my players, very_barry, The December Girls, Kim, Andrea & Jimmy, PJ, Karen, Amy, Leda, Carolyn & Chris, Christine, Rho, Paula, Poppins, Bill, Suzanne, Shelley, Ralph, Lori, Cori, Megan, Wayne, Michelle, Emma, and the guy who fixed my brakes, Travis, Dan, Ashley, Wendy, Scott, Randy, & Bonnie.

BOOK A PRIVATE PHIL MARSHALL EVENT

THE “I’m not on tour at the moment so I’m gonna go on tour” TOUR

So I’m sitting on my balcony taking a break from songwriting and I’m thinking, right, I’m ready to hit the road again. Last year was great traveling coast to coast playing some intimate shows and some big shows too. I know some of you got to share the great dates I did with my friends David Cook, Monty, Neal, Andy & Kyle. It was a blast.

And then frustration sets in because I’m here in Texas and I don’t have any full band action scheduled until the end of the year, at which point the new full-length recording should be happening.

So I thought, why not just hit the road anyway. Last year I played some of my most favorite shows ever, and ya know what? Some them were in the LIVING ROOM CONCERT SERIES. Anywhere from Texas to New Jersey, to Los Angeles, I played some of the most enjoyable up close & personal intimate shows I have ever done.

I love chatting with everyone on Facebook and Twitter, but I wanna get out there and hang out with you again! Share stories, play music, and see some new places! That’s when I came up with the idea of the “I’m not on tour at the moment so I’m gonna go on tour” TOUR!

I got excited all of a sudden and threw it out to you guys and you got excited too! I got calls to visit state after state, even different countries including Sweden, Brazil, Costa Rica, Venezuela, & Argentina. Well clearly it’s not easy to jump in the car and go to Sweden, but I can certainly hop through a few states.

So that’s what I’m gonna do!

In JUNE 2010 I’m gonna jump in my car with my tour manager and we’re gonna head off on the road and see where it takes us. How many shows I play is totally up to you. Where and how exactly I do these shows is up to you. I want to play my songs to you! Tell you how & why I wrote them! I want to get to meet you! I want to do shows where we actually get to shake hands and hang out. I don’t wanna appear on stage for an hour and then disappear into the sunset. I want to actually hang with you while the sun goes down, and for those of you that know me, drinking a margarita or two would be wonderful accompaniment to that!

This time around, on this grass routes tour, all you have to do is get your mates together, decide where you wanna hang out at and invite me over to play you some songs!

You don’t have to go anywhere, you don’t have to wait in line or worry about being miles away from the stage. We get to hang out at whatever time suits you, in whatever place suits you. It’s all about connecting with each other and keeping it simple.

I love listening to my favorite tunes on the radio, but how cool would it be to hear them live in my Living Room. So that’s what I’m gonna do . . . I’m gonna GO TO YOU!

The success of this all hinges on you guys though . . . I’m gonna hit the road and see where I end up, but the more engagements you invite me to, the better it will be. I’m interested in playing in your home, I can come play on your lunch break at work, I can even play your school assembly too. Just let me know what you think would be cool, and we can make this happen.

I can’t wait to see you all on the road! I will airing updates as I move around and I will be posting video and pictures from the road too. There will be some press and radio along the way between the Happy Hour events & Living Room Concerts, BBQs and whatever else. Aye, if you wanna meet me for a coffee when I take a pit stop too, then bring it on!

I can’t wait for the “I’m not on tour at the moment so I’m gonna go on tour” TOUR. I hope you are excited too!

LETS DO THIS TOGETHER!  Check my tour schedule and see if I'm going to be in your area this June.  If you are interested in booking me, please click the button to the right.

CALIFORNIA (What about the West Coast?)

The June dates are coming together nicely. I applaud everyone who is getting involved with the TOUR, It was never going to be easy to throw some dates up and navigate my way across the country without your support, but we're doing it! The music industry is changing, and we're doing our bit to change it for the better. I chuckled to myself the other day when a young lady posted on Twitter that she wanted to have me play her birthday bash but her parents didn't believe that I'd be available and so affordable for a private show. Granted, I won't always be able to do this, but right now I am, and people are jumping on board all over the place.

It excites me to see that people are downloading my music from places such as New York, Finland, Denmark, Argentina, Canada, Jerusalem, Australia, Thailand, Japan, the Philipines, and not forgetting Slough in the UK (home of the original "Office" show) nice to see people taking the time out of paper shredding to check out my site. Basically people are listening all over the joint! Which leads me to CALIFORNIA.

The great people of California have come together in force to point out that my June dates don't cover Cali. I wish they did, and I could work the logistics to make it happen, but it's early days. However, with many inquiries coming my way, I have opened up some July dates and am NOW AVAILABLE for BOOKING CALIFORNIA.

The booking is slightly different to represent the different considerations but go ahead and click on the CALIFORNIA SHAPED BUTTON and check it out. I hope that this is as much of a success as the June dates and I can't wait to see the West Coasters! I couldn't fail on my the promise I made ast time I exited LAX, "I'll be back".
